The British Chamber are honoured to have our two Mandalay Founding Partners, Myint Myint Khin Snacks and Weint Sein Jewellery present their insights into running successful family businesses. Both businesses share a long history in Mandalay and are in their the second and third generation of family member management.


Mandalay is a city with a great number of family run business which make the Mandalay business community and landscape unique.


We at the British Chamber are keen to explore the question of what gives a family business the competitive edge, ensuring success in today's competitive business environment. Is it innovation, adaptability to change, vision, resilience, persistence, luck or family bond that keep business able to pass one generation to the next?

We are also pleased to be joined by Ma Phoo of Flanders Investment and Trade, who is also a well-known speaker in the international business community, to speak with our Mandalay Founding Partners and discuss how they are managing their family business and what will they bring to their family business in the next century?
