Our small team is based in Yangon. This means we are able to greet our guests upon arrival and meet face-to-face with those already living here. We are in rhythm with the beat of the country and well-placed to recommend new experiences when creating intimate, handcrafted journeys through Myanmar.

Sampan was the third tour operator in Myanmar to achieve Travelife Certification and in both 2018 & 2019 we were named Best Responsible Tour Operator by the Myanmar Responsible Tourism Institute. In 2020 we were shortlisted for the Experience Mekong Showcase – celebrating organisations that provide authentic local experiences while at the same time making a significant social impact. We believe that when coupled with creativity, this commitment to responsible travel – at heart, simply a compassion for the people and places of Myanmar – does not detract from a journey but enriches it.
