Upasana is a senior consultant at Deloitte. She bring with her over 6 years of experience primarily in dispute resolution and legal advisory. While she has advised and represented clients mostly in civil, commercial cases as well as advised women clients in family and matrimonial disputes in cases of domestic violence. She has also worked on issues of gender justice, juvenile delinquency, civil rights, and judicial delay.

Before joining OHCHR, Romchat served the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand (NHRCT) as a human rights investigative officer with a focus on Economic, Social and Cultural rights and as focal point on Business, Human rights and Sustainable Development (2013 - February 2019). She engaged in several Thailand’s initiatives regarding Business and Human Right agenda including the development of National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights. Romchat holds a bachelor’s degree in law, a LL.M. on Public Law focused on Public Economic Regulations and a LL.M. on International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law with the focus on Business, International Trade, Investment and Human Rights and Human Rights & Development from University of Essex.
