Kent, a young professional, currently serves as the Corporate Secretarial Officer at Yoma Group. His career began as a legal intern at Thanlwin Legal and Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar), and he further developed his skills as a Legal Executive at uab bank. With over 6 years of involvement in community-oriented legal education and youth empowerment initiatives, Kent has shown strong professional commitment. In addition, he holds an associateship with the Myanmar Arbitration Centre, which attests to his contributions in the field.
Min Min joined SCM Legal as a Partner in August 2018 following extensive experience at international law firms, Baker & McKenzie and Kelvin Chia in Yangon. She brings over 20 years of legal experience acting on local Myanmar matters and international transactions. She mainly assists foreign investors’ investments set up and their operations in Myanmar. Min Min’s qualifications include a Masters in Business Law from Yangon University and Diploma in Laws (Corporate and Commercial) from University of London.
Mya Thita Oo is the In-house lawyer at Rent 2 Own (Myanmar) Co., Ltd, a consumer finance company in Myanmar. She is an advocate and a Fulbright Scholar (2021) with primary focus on Banking, Corporate & Finance. She had experience working with law firms in Myanmar such as VDB-Loi, DFDL and Roedl & Partner. Prior to joining foreign commercial law firms, Mya started her legal career with criminal and civil litigation practice.
Sa Sa is a founder and Managing Partner of KST Legal. Before he started the KST Legal, he worked in Baker McKenzie, KPMG and other prominent local law firms. He has around 12 years of experiences as a lawyer. He is also a visiting lecturer in Matrix Institute of Professional. He obtained his PhD in relating to the Corporate Tax Laws. His key practice areas are Banking and Finance, Merger & Acquisition and Technology.
U Myo Win obtained the license of Higher Grade Pleader since 2011 from the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar. He holds an LL.B. from Yangon East University and a Master of International Law from Université Pantheon-Assas, Paris-II, France. From 2015 to 2019 Myo Win was a Senior Associate with the VDB Loi Law Firm in Yangon, representing clients on a wide range of matters.
Aè Mon graduated with LL.B. from the University of Dagon, and M.A. (Business Law) from the University of Yangon. She started her career in 2012 at Myanmar Vigour, Deloitte Touche Myanmar Vigour Advisory. After that, she worked for Baker McKenzie Yangon office as an Associate. She is currently working as Senior Manager, responsible for overseeing legal and corporate secretary matters, at Prudential Myanmar Life Insurance, where she has received many recognition awards such as Employee of the Year, Values Hero Award and Best Team Player Award.
Saw Nyan Htun is an Associate at Nishimura & Asahi Myanmar Limited. He has been a member of the International Bar Association since 2018. He worked as a paralegal in the Yangon Office from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, he served as a Business Development/Knowledge Coordinator at Baker & McKenzie in Yangon from 2013 to 2014 and a Business Coordinator, at Baker & McKenzie in Bangkok from 2012 to 2013.
