English for Networking and Socialising
British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar in collaboration with Edulink Myanmar is bringing English training courses for your language development in your careers.
This is a short course about English for "Networking and Socialising" which will take place over three hours of classroom time during one week. The course is for students of mixed ability, and will be an online course. There will be a strong emphasis on improving communication skills for business and social purposes.
The main goal of this curriculum will be to improve the students' confidence and communication skills in order to be more effective at business networking, and as a result, more effective in their respective companies.
Focus 1: Effective Small Talk
Focus 2: Business Networking Etiquette
Focus 3: Conversation Strategies
Students will be able to:
- Improve their networking small talk
- Avoid inappropriate topics
- Build better business relationships
- Create a good first impression
- Communicate effectively across different cultures
- Effectively use internationally acceptable behavior
- Effectively follow up on new contacts
- Find useful business contacts
- Build rapport
- Introduce your company/product diplomatically and effectively
- Use good body language and eye contact
- Improve your active listening skills

Cost to Members: 250,000 MMK
Cost to Non-members: 350,000 MMK
Access and Cancellation:
You will be sent the link to attend 24 hours in advance, then again one hour before. You must pay for your ticket in advance, or you will not be sent the access link.
If you are no longer able to attend please cancel your place a minimum of one week in advance via email to joey@britishchambermyanmar.com. All no shows will still be charged the entry fee. Places which have not been cancelled will not be refunded.
