Taking action in Myanmar's Food and Beverage sector

The July 2019 hike in Myanmar's electricity tariffs has driven up operating costs for local business, adversely affecting profit margins. The food and beverage (F&B) industry in particular is affected by this due to its energy intensive nature. Going forward, these companies are likely to face even further pressure as a result of emerging trends and policy changes encouraging a more efficient use of energy.

By implementing simple and effective energy efficiency measures, businesses can benefit from cost savings as a result of reduced energy consumption. This webinar will offer insights on the state of energy consumption by the F&B sector in Myanmar and market trends on the adoption of energy efficiency measures.

The webinar will also address the following questions:

• Why should F&B companies care about energy efficiency?
• What are some energy savings opportunities available in the F&B sector?
• What can F&B companies do to reduce energy use?
• How can F&B companies seek support to improve their energy efficiency performance?

The webinar is delivered by the UK-ASEAN Energy Efficiency Accelerator, a technical assistance programme funded by that UK Government's Prosperity Fund's 'ASEAN Low Carbon Energy Programme' (LCEP). The Accelerator will deliver technical assistance and capacity building to companies in the F&B sector in Myanmar, supporting them to improve energy performance.

If you are no longer able to attend please cancel your place 24 hours in advance via email to grace@britishchambermyanmar.com. All no shows will still be charged the entry fee. Places which have not been cancelled will not be refunded.
