Risk Advisory Myanmar, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Internal Audit Leader at DeloitteAaron Jay is a Manager leading Deloitte Myanmar Risk Advisory function. He has close to 7 years of experience in the field of Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Corporate Governance.
Aaron has led relationships for multiple outsourced Internal Audit client engagements, performed post-strategy implementation effectiveness audits, advised on the establishment of enterprise risk management systems and frameworks, advised on corporate sustainability reporting statements, performed board governance assessments, conducted IA department restructuring exercises, performed investigative audits, conducted IA trainings, and has held multiple workshops for instilling insights and developing Governance, Risk, and Control capabilities of his clientele.
He is passionate about leading, developing, and inspiring people, and is a logical outside-the-box thinker adept at designing solutions through critically analysing business strategies & models, governance structures, corporate culture, business processes, internal controls, and enterprise risk environments using internationally acclaimed frameworks & standards.
Aaron was also a panel speaker invited for discussion on the Pwint Thit Sa 2019 report, held by Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB). Aaron also supports the agenda Seedstars in Myanmar (non-profit organisation) through providing pro-bono Risk Advisory support to start-up organisations.
He is a professional member of ACCA, Certified Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA) , and holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Project Management from the University of Heriot Watt.
