Money and Youth: Financial Literacy Webinar
Since the pandemic, we are all experiencing a turbulent financial landscape firsthand. While businesses strike to survive through the harsh economic environment, individuals navigate through hyper-inflation and financial hardship. We believe that financial literacy is an essential skill to mitigating such financial risks during these times.
Modus Operandi Co. Ltd. ('MO') is a fintech start-up based in Yangon that is focusing on breaking down financial barriers for the underbanked communities. Through MO Foundation, MO is implementing initiatives to close literacy gaps in Myanmar in collaboration with British Chamber of Commerce. We believe that through financial education seminars and workshops, we can equip individuals and businesses with tools to steer through current turbulent financial landscape.
Research shows that younger generations (Millennial and Gen Z) have lower levels of financial literacy as compared to their seniors. Misuse of credit products, and lack of adequate saving practices have lead the further vulnerabilities and risks.
