Legal Working Group Meeting 2/2023


The Legal Working Group brings together local and international law firms and in-house counsel practicing in Myanmar to discuss topical legal issues and share information. Membership is open to interested law firms that are members of the Chamber and in-house counsel at member companies.


The Legal Working Group organising committee has arranged meeting on the discussion of the below,

  1. Confirmation of previous meeting minutes.
  2. Networking Event for Myanmar legal professionals.
  3. Discussion on Support for BCCM Members.
  4. Discussion on Support for LWG Members.
  5. Discussion on recent issues e.g. (a) DICA notification to Union-level associations; (b) recent sanctions on the two state-owned banks; and (c) reporting requirements for law firms to Myanmar authorities.
  6. Any other business.

Date: Thursday 6th July 2023

Time: 18.00 until 19.00

Venue: Hybrid Event ( SCM Legal's office at Sule Square & Online Meeting)
