Hospitality Working Group Launch Event

The Hospitality industry in Myanmar covering hotels, tourism, agency, aviation has been impacted over the past few years leading to hotels suspending operations, hospitality professionals leaving the industry at worst or at best taking salary cuts. Hospitality is an essential economic driver to the country providing direct and indirect employment to the people of Myanmar.

Mr. Ram Nurani of Pan Pacific & Park Royal Hotels and Ma May Myat Mon Win of Chatrium Hospitality Group respectively supported by the British Chamber of Commerce are spearheading the formation of a private sector hospitality working group to tackle the grass roots issues and needs in the hospitality sector in Myanmar. They together with the Chamber will launch the Hospitality Working Group on the 3rd April 2023, present the main issues and confirm the main objectives for the working group. You will be invited to participate in sector specific tables to discuss key issues as well as initiatives that support business sustainability and climate change.
