English for Marketing and Advertising


British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar in collaboration with Edulink Myanmar brought English course training series for your language development in your careers. The training series will be with the topics as follows:


  • English for HR Professionals
  • English for Marketing and Advertising
  • English for Logistics
  • English for Accounting
  • English for Legal


This is a short course intended for marketing professionals who need to communicate in English. The course is ideal for anyone who works in marketing or advertising. The course covers a range of topics that are relevant to working in marketing. This includes, talking to clients, discussing advertising campaigns, establishing a marketing plan, and writing a press release.


The course aims to teach students the relevant vocabulary and speaking skills to perform the essential responsibilities of working in advertising and marketing departments.


The course will consist of English for special purposes (Marketing and Advertising) for students at B1+ (Intermediate) Level. There will be a strong emphasis on speaking and presenting. The main goal of this curriculum will be to improve business English and communication in the context of working in a marketing department.

Course Aims:


  1. Students will be able to talk about brand values and present their ideas
  2. Students will be able to give and ask for opinions
  3. Students will be able to talk about market research using the correct terms
  4. Students will be able to conduct surveys using appropriate questions
  5. Students will be able to describe a marketing plan
  6. Students will be able to describe pricing models
  7. Students will be able to analyse Ads using the AIDA model
  8. Students will be able to explain what they want in an ad campaign
  9. Students will be able to discuss pros and cons of advertising channels
  10. Students will be able to discuss pros and cons of different distribution channels
  11. Students will be able to get through to customers on the telephone
  12. Students will be able to describe promotion methods
  13. Students will be able to discuss and arrange sponsorship
  14. Students will be able to analyse an effective press release
  15. Students will be able to socialise in a business context

You will be sent the link to attend 24 hours in advance, then again one hour before. You must pay for your ticket in advance, or you will not be sent the access link.


If you are no longer able to attend please cancel your place a minimum of one week in advance via email to grace@britishchambermyanmar.com. All no shows will still be charged the entry fee. Places which have not been cancelled will not be refunded.
