British Chamber Social : Networking with Impact

We would like to invite all members to join the Chamber for a networking evening with Impact!

In honor of our partnership with M2030 we are holding a joint charity and networking event. During the event you will be able to enjoy wine, beer and canapes, whilst hearing about the work M2030 is implementing throughout the region, in their battle to eradicate Malaria by 2030. You will also have the opportunity to network with the charity to find out how you can be involved, and network with other Myanmar and international businesses.

M2030 - driving business leadership to end malaria in Asia

Asia has made tremendous progress in decreasing the burden of malaria. But, the closer we get to elimination, the harder it is to maintain political attention and funding. To sustain the commitment of Heads of States to end malaria by 2030 in Asia and mobilize sustained domestic resources, the malaria community must broaden and expand its pool of champions and advocates. To support this goal and to inspire corporate leadership to end malaria in Asia by the year 2030, the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) created M2030.

M2030 is both a brand and movement. M2030 corporate partners can use the brand for campaigns or for branding select products and services. In return, they pledge funds to fight malaria in the countries where the money was raised, working with the Global Fund, or directly with reputable NGOs.

More than funding

M2030 is about much more than just funding. It is also about business leadership. In Asia, some of the most influential and admired people are CEOs. By turning business leaders into champions for malaria elimination, the impact from the M2030 movement goes well beyond the mobilized money.

In addition, M2030 partners interact with millions of customers every day, providing a clear pathway towards reach and access for social impact. By leveraging corporate platforms, the movement is engaging consumers and the public about both the promise of malaria elimination and the dangers if we fail.
